You have a creative mind but what are you saying to yourself. I’m sure that you’ve had this happen to you. Thoughts running around in your head even as you are doing other things and you wonder where was that hiding.
Awhile back, I was listen to a conference on line – “The Science of Getting Rich”. I had been reading the book by the same name, because it was recommend to me. The conference was motivating and inspiring. Sandy Gallagher spoke a quote and seem to resonate with me. I was writing fast but still didn’t get it written down and so I’ve been on a mission to find it, in a casual sort of way.
Well, the other day I sat down to start a new book (The Art of Living by Bob Proctor and Sandra Gallagher). As I usually do, I browsed through the book before I started and the quote just jumped off the page for me. Here I’ve have had the book for a while, but I have a lot of books, and just now got to it.
The quote was given to Bob Proctor from Bill Gove. So with out further ado, here it is:
“If I want to be free, I’ve got to be me. Not the me I think you think I should be. Not the me I think my wife/husband thinks I should be. Not the me I think my kids think I should be. If I want to be free, I’ve got to be me. And I better know who me is.”
How well do you know of yourself? Do you see in this quote how it resonates with me? It got me to wondering. This is so important as I work to accomplish my goals and dreams. So I need to study myself, I haven’t taken much time for that.
I need to know who I am – what makes me tick! What has me thinking the way I have been thinking? What cause me to respond to things the way I do. With some time I can become aware of who I am, again. Once I know who I am, then the goals and dreams that I have make sense. Then a plan can be created to accomplish the things that are in my heart and to do what I was put here to do.
When I was a young person, and you can probably relate, I had big dreams and goals but somewhere in life, the focus has changed. Changes are not always bad. It is only bad if it takes us in a direction that does not help us fulfill goals and dreams we have.
So what can I do to move me back to the direction I want to go. Bob Proctor has a number of great courses that will give you tools to move in the right direction.
I also have been using a dream planner, that gives me a daily schedule to work with at my own pace for now. I’m able to write in the things that I have to do in my life today but also gives me a chances to dream in drawings or writings. Now I can see where in the nocks and crannies of my current schedule, I can make room for the purpose of my life.
At first it feel kind of odd, but as I stay connected to my materials, it gets easier and more exciting. I want you to take a look at what I’m using, because if this resonates with you, you can plan for changes that you want to make in your life.
It’s exciting to move in the direction of goals and dreams. I hope that you will start to do this as well.
