I hope that you do – fresh or frozen. We are going with a fresh turkey this year. I don’t believe that I have every had a fresh one before. Sunday afternoon I started the dry brine process. I found a recipe online, using sage, rosemary and thyme for a Fresh herb and salt rubbed turkey. I had the rosemary (love this) and sage but no thyme, so I used 5 drops of thyme essential oil – the whole mixture smells divine. I have been faithfully turning the bird, and will be excited to try this taste bird.
Today I will finish up my shopping – fresh cranberries for a relish with orange essential oil, sweet potatoes diced with pecans, rosemary essential oils and smattering of stevia – yummy. Tomorrow I will bake crescent rolls with my mother in law, her recipe is the best and much look forward to by all grandkids and kids alike.
As you can see we are having family for the holiday – each has their particular recipe or contribution to our feast. It is great to get together, share time and stories. I trust that you will enjoy your holiday in whatever fashion that you celebrate. We have so much and expressing “Thanks” is a heart changing reflection. Be Blessed and Be Grateful.
