Did I catch you day-dreaming? If not, too bad – the time and place make a difference BUT we should do it often.
I don’t know about you BUT I’ve still things in my life that I want to accomplish. Some may call it a “bucket list”. Whatever you call it, we should be pursuing these things. One of the things on my list is to ride a bicycle around Maine in the fall. I’ve been planning and waiting for this to happen for a while now but I haven’t given up on doing this at some point in my life. Probably now it will have to come later when my youngest is off to college.
So in the spirit of accomplishing things on the “list”, I have enlisted the help of a good friend that is accomplishing many things in record time. I’ve join with him to share this idea – because I have dreams and goals that might have been suppressed through time and experiences. How many dreams have you had through the years that are now sitting collecting dust? Any that jump to the fore front of your mind, with this trigger?
Think back the time when you were a 5 year old with the world out in front of you, and nothing was impossible then, right? We need to regain that spirit. Who doesn’t want to feed the ducks? See if any of those ideas still hold the excitement they once did for you.
God put us here to worship Him, enjoy his creation and passionate help people. If we focus on the despair and heaviness of life, that is what will comes to us. Maybe you have dreamed of traveling the world – what, if anything holds you back, maybe you want to write a book – why haven’t you started, maybe you see yourself as a different person – we can all change. It takes time, it doesn’t always happen over night BUT you have to start. This is a good place and time to start.
Sweet dreams,
Nancy
